We talk about the “calm before the storm” in our lives, and I’ve felt that — have you?

During the storm you yearn to be feeling the dry breeze and sun, when you have time to think about it. Often you don’t. The storm is calling the shots, and you’re… well, you’re just trying to stay dry, protect what is dear, dodge the debris flying around you.

“Do you care that we’re about to die, Lord?”

Yes, He does. And He is in the storm with you, and sovereign over it. It feels out of control, but the truth is, it’s just out of your control, not His.
